Chain Letter collects no data. No accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking. The app never contacts a server, because the game is set in 1999 and everything in it ships inside the app.
Your progress — which messages you have read, what you chose to do with them, and which day you have reached — is stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes it. Starting a new game erases it immediately. We run no servers and cannot see it.
Every message, sender, address, and instant-message handle in Chain Letter is fictional and bundled inside the app. The app cannot send email, cannot read your email, and never requests access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location. The in-fiction letter asks you to forward it to nine people; that is simulated entirely within the game and nothing leaves your phone.
Chain Letter is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no advertising. We receive no personal or payment details.
The app is rated 12+ for horror themes. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
If a future version ever changes this — for example by adding leaderboards — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label will be updated to match.
